About the Director
Tilly is an animator originally from Nottingham, currently based in Surrey, UK. She primarily works using traditional materials and techniques, most frequently with paint-on-glass and under camera animation. In 2021 she graduated from the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham: during her studies she created three animated shorts, ‘Mind(FULL)’ (2019), ‘Family Jewels’(2020), and ‘Wings for Butterflies’ (2021). All of her student shorts screened at various festivals internationally, including Annecy and BFI Future Film Festival . Her newest short is ‘Traces’ (2025), a BFI Network funded paint-on-glass film that peeks behind the glamour of space exploration into the growing dangers of space debris.
