In a near-future performance space where catharsis is packaged and sold, one Actor discovers they are trapped in a cycle of curated fame, voyeurism, and identity collapse as the line between performance and reality begins to blur.
About the Director
Annabella Fazio is Italian-American writer and director. She is a Cinephilia Production Incubator fellow and her debut feature film, Camino, is currently in late development. Most recently, Camino was named a finalist in the Breaking Through the Lens Screenplay competition 2026.
Her latest short film, Scene House, has won awards for Best Director and Best Performance, having screened at Not Film Festival (Italy), Evolution Mallorca Film Festival (Spain), and PROOF Festival (USA).
Annabella’s films are an exploration of identity in liminal spaces - queerness, performance, family, fame - and how systems reshape people into the versions that best serve them. She is drawn to characters who exist between selves, especially women whose inner lives are devoured by the narratives projected onto them.
