About the Director
James Farrell is a 25-year-old filmmaker based in London/Essex, UK. A lifelong storyteller, he began making films as a child and went on to study at Westminster Film School, where his student commercial ‘Mattress Man’ won Kodak’s 2021 Commercial Competition.
His debut short film, ‘Good Choice, Joseph’, draws on his struggles with decision paralysis after graduating from university, using offbeat, cynical humour to reflect his own feelings of exasperation and uncertainty.
James currently works as a producer’s assistant in the film industry and is developing future projects which aim to tell similarly eccentric and unconventional stories.
