About the Director
Sushant Nagpal is a filmmaker and theatre director from Haryana, India. Interested in magical realism and absurdity, he likes to explore themes of consumerism, sensationalism, and the place of myth in contemporary life. He has directed acclaimed stage productions including Yasmina Reza's 'Art' and 'Talchhat', an adaptation of Franz Kafka's 'The Metamorphosis'. A trained IB educator, Sushant has taught theatre for over four years. In 2025, Sushant received the JCS International Emmy Award for his one-minute short - 'Peace of Music' and his drama series 'Society' was selected for the Red Sea Series Lab 2025. Barber of the Gods marks Sushant's debut as a writer-director in fiction film.
