Synopsis: After remembering a family-woven island tale, young Ailsa ventures into a dreamlike world, in search of her absent father and a way to heal their hearts
About the Filmmaker: Ana Songel is an award-winning stop-motion director and animator based in Glasgow, Scotland. In 2020, Ana was selected by the Screen Scotland-funded commissioning scheme Little Pictures to make her stop motion short I Miss Hugs, which screened in BAFTA and Academy- Award-qualifying film festivals. She now manages the scheme and also works as a freelance animator and model maker. Ana recently finished working on her new stop motion film, Peace of Heart, through the Screen Scotland-funded scheme Sharp Shorts.
