Synopsis: Having just moved to Amsterdam, Lou prepares her new apartment that she will share with her partner, Joel. For now though, Joel is on a trip with an intimate other. Confronted with the complexities of her non-monogamous relationship, Lou shifts her gaze to the rhythms of her new city.
About the Filmmaker: Naomi Pacifique is a Swiss-Dutch artist. She works across filmmaking, music, visual arts, and poetry. Across the arts, her work interests itself in intimacy and the spaces found there to discover and reinvent both oneself and the environment one is surrounded by. Naomi completed her studies in the UK, where she graduated from Oxford University with an Mst in Creative Writing and from London Film School with an MA in Filmmaking.
Her graduation film for London Film School, after a room, shot in Amsterdam, was awarded the Pardino d’Argento Swiss Life at Locarno Film Festival 74 in August 2021, among other awards at international film festivals. She is currently in the post-production for her following short film, looking she said I forget, supported by Office Fédéral de la Culture, Cinéforom, RTS, and the Netherlands Film Fonds.
She is currently developping her first two feature films, ‘after the night, the night’, supported by Ikusmira Berriak 2023, Ecam’s Start Me Up Program 2023 and awarded Elea Media Award in Post-Production at San Sebastian International Film Festival in 2023, and ‘was it a dream in which we breathed’. In 2022, Naomi took part in both Berlinale Talents and the Apichatpong Weerasethakul Lab: Filming in the Amazon.
