About the Filmmaker: Weiqi Cai, an independent film director and screenwriter from China, holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). His works are characterized by a distinctive style and a wide range of themes, excelling at telling compelling stories through highly cinematic visual narratives. Innovation and breakthroughs are at the core of his creative process.
His works have been selected for several prestigious international film festivals, including the Hawai’i International Film Festival, Chicago International Children’s Film Festival, which are Oscar-qualifying and Canadian Screen Awards-qualifying. He has also received recognition from the Southeast Student Emmys. He is committed to finding creative artists and collaborators to explore diverse artistic expressions.
