Synopsis: Two women fall in love at a decrepit old-age home in the autumn of their lives. Both are aware of the repercussions of such a revelation in a society proscribing homosexuality; therefore, they exchange messages and gifts in secret. As the romance blossoms, flourishes, and spreads through the worn-out walls and somber milieu, Indira subtly conveys to Meera that her imposing requests can be detrimental to their relationship.
About the Filmmaker: Chandradeep Das (born 23rd June 1989, Kolkata) was a co-writer and assistant to his father, eminent filmmaker Anjan Das, whose films were regularly feted at festivals like Berlinale, Rotterdam, BFI London, etc. He co-wrote his father’s last film, which premiered at the International Film Festival of India in 2013. Chandradeep has written, directed, and produced a few short films that have secured European distribution and been selected at hundreds of prestigious film festivals all over the world, such as BFI Flare, Flickerfest, Brussels, Fribourg, Kolkata, IDSFFK, etc. His feature film in development, an India-Hungary coproduction, was a part of the Top 20 South Asian projects at the NFDC Film Bazaar Co-Production Market a couple of years ago.
