About the Filmmaker: Alexandra is a writer and director whose work centres on unconventional relationships and marginalised communities. Drawing on her personal experiences as a neurodivergent individual, she is committed to telling diverse, untold stories. Her directorial debut, In the Clouds, exploring the lives of a family in London, is currently making the festival rounds.
As a screenwriter, Alexandra has made a significant impact with award-winning shorts. A Day in February, about a Ukrainian mother separated from her family at the border, has been selected for BAFTA and Oscar-qualifying festivals, winning Best UK Short Film at the Foyle International Film Festival. Bebe AI, a sci-fi short starring Amanda Abbington and George Webster, has earned recognition at BAFTA and Oscar-qualifying festivals, winning Best of Fest at the Superfest Disability Film Festival. Additionally, Pas de Deux, an LGBTQ+ love story she wrote and produced, has been featured at major festivals, including Leeds International Film Festival.
