Synopsis: A mayfly meet cute; when a woman befriends a wide-eyed insect and introduces him to the world, their fleeting bond becomes a bittersweet ode to joy, wonder, and saying goodbye.
About the Filmmaker: Myles Wheeler is a director and writer from London. In his personal work he uses his camcorder to explore moments in his life with a handmade, comedic tone. His independent feature films “Like a Dog or a Boat, you tether it” and “Boy Ant” have over 100,000 views on his YouTube channel, and his latest short film “hi from a mayfly” won the Jury Award at Picturehouse Cinema’s 2025 Short Film contest. His work has been shown at the ODEON Leicester Square, Picturehouse Central, Vue Piccadilly, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and CBBC.
