About the Filmmaker: Bouchera is an Algerian muslim filmmaker born in Montreal and concluding her final year at NAD-UQAC. A lifelong storyteller, she has created worlds across mediums, including a published comic. Her influences range from anime and European animation to literature to North African culture and the everyday lives of those around her. She believes the best stories are the ones you were a fan of before they were even put to paper; the ones you felt were missing from the world. Deeply passionate about animation, she is carving out a new path in Quebec’s animation scene, blending diverse styles and voices to create something uniquely her own.
