On the first day of winter, two little stoats must learn to adapt to their new surroundings, shedding their summer coats for their winter ones. But what happens when, in addition to the difficulty of learning to change, human intervention also complicates things?
About the Director
Michele Greco was born in Naples in 1994. He moved to Rome to study Cinema and Stop Motion Animation, later specializing in Playwriting and Screenwriting at the Silvio D’Amico National Academy of Dramatic Art. During his studies, he wrote, directed, and produced the live-action short films Natalie (2016) and Cotechino con lenticchie (2019), and made his debut as an animator with the stop motion short Lars, una Pulce Assillante (Lars, an Annoying Flea, 2020). In the following years, he worked in various Animation and VFX studios, first as a Production Assistant and later as a 3D Animator. In 2024, he collaborated with the comic book collective BandaBendata, writing the scripts for the upcoming anthology Leaves. He has worked with Lucia Bulgheroni at Fantasmagorie Studio on the animated short film Aller & Retour, for which he is responsible for both directing and screenwriting.
Lucia Bulgheroni is an Italian animation director. While studying cinema at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, she began exploring stop motion animation and fell in love with it, discovering the medium’s potential. After working in advertising, regularly blending live-action and stop motion techniques, she completed a Master’s degree in Animation Directing at the National Film & Television School in London. Her main interest lies in exploring themes related to philosophy, psychology, and her subconscious—abstract subjects perfectly suited to be visualized through animation. With her short film Inanimate, she won major awards at the Cannes Film Festival (Cinéfondation), Annecy, the BAFTA Student Film Awards, the Nastri D’Argento, and many other festivals. Her second short film, Chromosome X (2021), also garnered several awards and nominations. Her most recent short, SeMe (2023), is still being screened and well well-received at numerous festivals, marking her first exploration of live-action techniques.
