Synopsis: Life-long friends: Santiago, Kiara, and Meleri are on the brink of adulthood. Raised in the tranquil town of Gaiman, these Welsh Patagonians in their final year of high school prepare to perform one last time at the ‘Eisteddfod’ – a Welsh tradition they’ve upheld since they were five years old. But are they ready to say goodbye?
As they face the impending changes of university life and new beginnings, their final performance becomes a poignant celebration of their shared past and an emotional farewell to their childhood.
About the Filmmaker: Niamh Wynne is a Welsh and Irish, self-shooting documentary filmmaker. Graduate from the National Film and Television School and with a background in Fine Art, Niamh brings visual sensitivity and thoughtful curiosity to her work. Her films often explore deeply personal or culturally specific narratives – from processing the emotional aftermath of her father’s stroke to capturing surreal coming-of-age experiences in the Welsh-speaking communities of Patagonia. She is drawn to stories that blur the line between the ordinary and the extraordinary.
